About

Bill and Kay Tabbert's dream of one day operating their very own restaurant began in 1974 at "Arndt's" in Plymouth, WI. After managing Arndt's for two years, life took them away from the restaurant business until 1987. In February of 1987 Bill, Kay and now with two sons, Adam and Nick at their sides, realized their dream of operating their own restaurant and opened "Tabbert's Restaurant." The restaurant had previously been named Peachy's and prior to that, began in 1953 as the "Y go By Restaurant" opened by Robert Kastenschmidt. Tabbert's has been a favorite of locals, travelers, and truckers ever since.

Tabbert's menu from the start consisted of homemade meals, lunch specials, soups, pies and desserts. Tabbert's menu has not strayed too far from the original. Breakfast has always been the meal which always leaves a great impression on customers, with pancakes bigger than a large plate, French toast 2 inches thick, eggs made to order, mounds of fresh American fries and hash browns, biscuits and sausage gravy and thick cut toast. Tabbert's Friday fish fry has also been a favorite of old customers and new ones alike, offering perch, walleye and haddock dinners breaded by hand in their homemade breading. You would be hard pressed to find a customer who has walked out our doors not satisfied after a meal.

Bill, Kay, Adam, Nick, and their families wish to thank all the past, present, and future customers for your continued patronage over the years.
